RED LIGHT STEREO “What I’ve Become”

Some two years ago, the world witnessed the inaugural collaboration between iKind Studio and Durban-based pop-rock quartet Red Light Stereo with the launch of a comedic music video for the band’s single ‘Daydreaming’ (watch here.) Now we’ve teamed up once more with band members Dylan Rhodes (vocals / keyboard), Gareth Purchase (Guitar), Donovan Blom (drums) and Lliam Scholtz (bass) following the release of the band’s new EP, available for download via their Facebook page (

The music video for ‘What I’ve Become’ portrays the contageous ‘live performance’ energy that the group exudes, and emphasizes the maturity of a slick, well oiled act that they are today. The performance is fast-paced and energetic, yet retains colorful and fun elements which are signature Red Light Stereo. The iKind production crew took over The Engine Room at The Origin for a night of lasers, flashing lights and partying with 30 plus extras styled in an array of glow-in-the-dark accessories; giving the club scene that extra bit of pizzazz! A lot of fun was had by all.

The city shoot had the crew and 4 stunning actresses cruising the night through the streets of the Durban CBD with a whole lot of yellow tape. What were they doing with all that tape? Well, you’ll have to watch the video to find out. Thankfully nobody got arrested…
