UNICEF – BELIEVE IN ZERO
UNICEF, the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund, began operations in 1946 to assist children who were affected by WWII by providing emergency healthcare and food. The organisation’s mission now focuses on the international promotion and protection of human rights directly associated with children.
Unicef South Africa’s “Believe In Zero” media campaign aims to promote awareness and dialogue about the plight of children who are exploited by violence, sex crimes and human trafficking.
iKind Media was tasked with creating a thought provoking 30 second Public Service Announcement (PSA) to be broadcast on various international websites and on South Africa’s Etv television channel.
The challenge was to develop the PSA utilising only still photography, animation and music through the innovative use of moving stills in a 3D space. Watch the “Believe In Zero” PSA above.
